Masala puri

Ingredients required :

  • 1 1/2 cup Wheat four (gehu ka atta)
  • 2 to 3 cups semolina (sooji)
  • 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin (jeera)
  •  coriander powder ( dhania powder)
  • 1/2 tbsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • 1/2 turmeric powder
  •  3/4 cup grated cottage cheese
  • 2 to 3 tbsp Schezwan sauce
  • 2 tbsp refined oil.
Method of making Masala Puri step by step:

Step 1: Take a bowl, to that add one and a half cups of Wheat flour (gehu ka atta)

Step 2: To that add two to three cups of semolina (sooji) and also add salt as per taste.

To add a flavour let add a few common spices

Step 3: Add 1 tbsp red chilli flakes,1 tbsp cumin(jeera), add coriander powder ( dhania powder), add 1/2 tbsp roasted cumin powder, add 1 tbsp garam masala and at last add 1/2 turmeric powder and mix all ingredients well.

Step 4: Now add 3/4 cup grated cottage cheese, add 2 to 3 tbsp Schezwan sauce, and add 2 tbsp refined oil.

Mix all spices, and cottage cheese well and also while mixing add chopped green fresh coriander leaves.

While mixing used your hand rather than using a spoon and also add little by little water while mixing.

The batter should not be soo soft nor it should be hard. After the dough is ready cover it with a cloth or place a plate on the top and rest it for 15 to 20 min.

Step 5: After 15 to 20 min again mix it so that it should be a bit soft.

Step 6: Now from that dough make a small ball.

Step 7: Then dust the balls with atta and roll now

(Same as how we make puri and also keep in mind it should not be too thick or thin)

Step 8: Take a Kadai add oil and heat it and fry masala puri one by one.

(Fry until the colour turn into light brown colour)

Do the same process for the remaining dough.

At last spicy masala, puri is ready!
