Sabudana khichdi recipe - Step by step
Sabudana khichdi is good for health and this is one of the popular dishes in India. The sabudana is also known as Sago. The sabudana is often served with roasted peanut and boil potatoes and with the combination of both the Bengal style Sabudana Khichdi.
As Sabudana khichdi is mostly served when they are fasting, and it is also served to devoted as well.
This is my second recipe of Sabudana before I have shared the Sabudana Vada recipe which is quite simple and easy in making.
Well, every people make Sabudana Khichdi differently and I am sharing the Bengal style Sabudana khichdi recipe. Do comments I let me know how you make the Sabudana khichdi.
About Recipe:
As Sabudana is more popular in India and it's consumed during fasting that is Navratri festival time or any other festival time.
Well if you are not making it for fasting then you can even add few chopped onions. In that way also it tastes delicious.
Most of the kids don't like to eat sabudana for them you can make Sabudana vada or if you want to make Khichdi only then, you can add few chopped tomatoes and black pepper so that it tastes better for kids.
In this sabudana khichdi, I didn't use more spices. It's only a combination of toasted peanut and boiled potatoes.

Ingredients required:
- 1 cup Sabudana
- 1 boiled potato
- 1 tbsp of cumin seeds
- 4 chopped green chilli
- Peanut
- Salt as per taste
- A little bit of sugar ( optional)
- Few chopped coriander leaves

Method to Make Sabudana Khichdi:
Step 1: Firstly, take 1 cup sabudana and wash nicely( removed all starch)
Step 2: Then add 1/4 cup of water and soak for 3 to 4 hour.
Step 3: After 3 hour you can see the water is soaked we'll.
Step 4: Then chopped 1 boiled potato
Step 5: Now take a pan to add 2 tbsp of oil heat it
Step 6: Then add 1 tbsp cumin seeds, add 4 chopped green chillies and 1 tbsp ginger paste saute it in medium flame till 30 sec.
Step 7: After that add chopped boiled potato fry till 1 min.
Step 8: add salt as per taste, add 1 tbsp roasted peanuts saute it for 1 sec.
Step 9: Then add soak sabudana mix it well with all the ingredients.
(Saute for 2 to 3 min in low medium flame)
Step 10: Then add salt according to you are taste, add sugar a bit, add 2 tbsp crushed peanut mix it well and cook it.
At the end sprinkle some coriander leaves and mix them.
The decision Bengali style Sabudana khichdi is ready to serve!!
