Ghugni is a Bengali dish made up of peas/ Motor dal is also known as batane in Hindi. It's famous Bengali snacks but it have different way of making it.
When Ghugni is eating as a Snacks it should be a bit chatpata and it is also eaten in Lunch or in dinner with Roti, Puri. But way of making Ghugni is same but when we are having in snacks we are sprinkling some coriander leaves and added some tamarind water and some bhujiya.
The Ghugni is basically a chaat and is a bong dish so, definitely it will be a some khatta meetha on its. The Ghugni can be prepared very easily perhaps all the ingredients are available at home.
It can also made when kid's like to eat something different in snacks, there are lot of recipes are available in my blog like Veg Hakka Noodles, Momos etc.

Now let's see How to make Ghugni at home Step by step:
Equipment Required:
- 2 Mixing bowl
- Pan
- 1 plate
- mixture grinder
- 2 spoons
- 200 gm peas
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 pin turmeric powder
- 3 green chili
- 1 big size chopped potato
- 2 whole red chilli
- 3 cardomom
- 3 cinnamon
- 1 Bay leaves
- 2 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 tsp Coriander leaves
- 2 tsp mustard oil
- 2 media size fine chopped onion
- 1 tsp green chili paste
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1 1/2 tsp ginger paste
- little bit tamarine water
- little bit bhujiya
- 1 finely chopped tomatoes
- 2 tsp Kashmiri red chili
Method:
Step 1: First take 200gm peas/ Motor korai soak in water for a whole night after that remove water.
Step 2: Then take a presscooker add those peas, add 1/2 TSP salt, add 1 pin turmeric powder, add 3 green chili, add 3 cup water then cove the lid and cook for 3 whistle in medium flame.
After 3 whistle let it cool it down.

Step 3: Now take a big size potato finely chopped it.
Step 4: Take a pan add 2 whole red chilli fry for 30 sec then also add 3 cardamoms,add 3 cinnamon, add 1 Bay leaves, add coriander leaves 2tsp ,add cumin seeds 2 TSP fry them for 1 min.
Then place it in a plate and let it cool down . After that take a mixture grinder add those and make a fine powder.
Step 5: Take a pan add 2 TSP mustard oil ,add those chopped potato and for them for 2 min. Keep them a side.
Then take same pan
Step 6: In that add 2 finely chopped medium onion fry them till color turn into brown color, then add 1 TSP green chili paste, add 1 TSP garlic paste,add ginger 1/2 TSP fry them 1 min.
Step 7: Then add 1 finely chopped medium size Tomato, add 1/2 TSP cumin seeds,add 1 TSP coriander leaves,add little bit turmeric powder,add 2 TSP Kashmiri red chili powder ,add salt as per taste mix all well.
Cook till the raw smell go a way and can add little bit warm water to prevent burning of Masala.
Step 8: Then add potato Cook well, add Boiled peas stir and mix and add 1 cup hit water cove and cook to get the peas completely boiled.
Till it boiled Take a fried Masala
Step 9: Take a mixture grinder and make a fine powder of those masala.
Step 10: After 10 min it will boiled then sprinkle 3 tsp of fried Masala powder mix well and add little bit sugars ( optional) mix it and cook for more 2 min.
Step 11: Then sprinkle coriander leaves on top .
At last it is ready!!
For making more chatpata on top sprinkle some fried Masala ,add some coriander leaves, add little bit of tamarind water, add little bit chopped onion,add little bit of bhujiya.
The delicious Ghugni is ready to serve!!
