Dum Aloo || Kashmiri Dum Aloo recipe || How to make Dum Aloo || Dhaba Style Dum Aloo

 Dum aloo is a based potato dish, it is a Kashmiri pandit cuisine, from the kashmir Valley . Dum aloo or Aloo dum is a curry which is basically  made with fried potato and the potato are usually small ones which is baby potato. In Dum Aloo fist potato are boiled then fry it then those are cooked in gravy.

In Dum Aloo the Gravy play an important roll. Each person have different way of making Dum Aloo some make with tomato puree or some made with onion and tomato puree or using besan but I made with curd. I trying to make it in authentic way. In this dish I have used Dry Fruit Powder so that the gravy should have tasty flavour.

The Dum Aloo is also a Classic Indian dish which is special meal and serve in ocasion like wedding or any festival and also prepaid at home during the lunch time or in dinner it all depend on us. 

As I said before everyone have different way of making Dum Aloo do comment how you make the Dum Aloo. If you don't make till now then try this Dum Aloo recipe which is made with some basic Ingredients and it's very simple way to prepaid this dish.

Preparation Of Dum Aloo recipe step by step:

Step 1: Firstly take small baby potatoes peeled those potato and half boiled them.

( Don't boiled more )a

Step 2:  Now take one toothpick or fork and Pierce it... Do it randomly and do the same for all potato.

Step 3: Now take a pan add 3 tsp oil heat it then add potato and fry them in batches, do fry them for 2 to 3 min.

Fry them till color turn into brown color.

Step 4:  After frying place them in a plate.

Now let's make grave

Step 5: For that take a mixture bowl add 1 1/2 cup curd beat the curd well.

Step 6: Now let's add spices first add 1 tsp kashmiri red chili powder, add 1 TSP of coriander powder, add 1/2 TSP of cumin seeds, add 1/2 TSP fennel seeds, add 1 TSP ginger and garlic paste, add less than half spoons cardomin powder ,add l/2 TSP salt, add 1/2 tsp dry mango powder , add 1/2 TSP black pepper, add 2 TSP dry fruit powder mix all 

( And beat ingredients well with curd, see that there should not be any lumps)

Step 7: Now take a pan add 2 TSP oil ,add 3 to 4 cloves, add small cinnamon seeds, add 1/2 TSP asafoetida, add 1/2 cup water, add 1/4 TSP turmeric powder.

( Now let's it Boiled)

After one boiled do the flame low so that curd don't get curdled.

Step 8: Then add the curd mixture keep mixing in low flames ( boiled for 1 to 2 min )

Step 9: Then add fry baby potato into the gravy and cover the lid and cook for 10 to 12 min in low flames only. 

You can see the spices are released there color and oil  and the gravy also cooked well then garnish them with coriander leaves before serving.

At last the decision Dum Aloo is ready to serve it!!!
