Kulkuls is prepared by all Christian during Christmas time. It's most famous in Chennai, Kerala and all other places as well. Christmas is a new year for Christians and it's celebrated only by Christians during1990 but now it's celebrated by everyone.

On the 25th of December in India, most of the people go out and enjoy themselves with their friends and family members also cut the cake in the evening Time, Youngsters go to a pub or Church etc.

Well, coming to me how I celebrated 25th of December is on the morning I go out and spend time with my family then evening time it will be cake cutting then church time, then dinner with families.

So 25th December is on the way. In advance, I am wishing you all Marry Christmas ☃️.

About recipe:

It's an Eggless Kalkal recipe, it's fried on oil there will be another one as well which is made in sugar syrup and after preparing it's distributed to family's members and friends.

I have used the ingredients with is easily available in your home kitchen and it won't take much time to prepare it. 

Now let's jump into the Method of making it:

Ingredients required:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 sugar powder
  • Salt
  • 1/8 tbsp baking soda
  • 1/3 cup semolina
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • Oil


Method:

Step 1: First take a bowl on top keep chani and strain 1 cup of all-purpose flour also stain 1/3 cup powder sugar, add salt 1/8 tbsp and add 1/8 baking soda.

( Sift flour with all the dry ingredients)

Step 2: Now add 1/3 cup semolina mix well

Step 3: Then add 2 tbsp ghee mix the flour well

Step 4: Now add 1/3 cup milk mix it and knead into 

(for mixing use the milk in small portions and prepare the soft dough )

Step 5: Coved it well and rest it for 15 min

( after 15 to 20 min will find the dough is ready)

Step 6: Pinch a small portion of the dough, flatten the dough onto the back of a fork then roll the top so that you get a curled up shape.

( Do the same for the remaining dough as well)

Step 7: Now take a pan add oil and heat it 

step 8: After oil heat then fries them on medium hot oil.

( On pan you can add as many pieces as come in comfortably without touching each other and fry until colour turn into golden brown)

Step 9: Then drain on absorbent paper 

At last eggless kalkal is ready to serve it!!
